Statistical Analysis
Service: Perform statistical analyses of data pertaining to conservation research
and consulting.
The Technique: Statistical analysis, as applied for conservation research and
consulting, enables mathematical interpretation of data concerning natural
ecosystem structure and processes. These analyses include quantitative
summaries concerning data (descriptive statistics), testing hypotheses about
patterns and processes based on samples and probability distributions (inferential
statistics), and interpolation/extrapolation of spatial and temporal patterns based
on limited samples (geostatistics).
Our Contribution: We routinely perform statistical analysis of data for our
conservation research and projects. In addition to extensive expertise with
standard statistical analysis, we are also experienced with custom analyses for
examination of nonrandom distributions and complex spatiotemporal data sets.
